Discover Something New

WELCOME TO THE
INSPIRATION LAB

CURRENT PLANS

Fun for All Ages

WHAT DOES THE VISION LOOK LIKE?

The Inspiration lab is a hybrid of a discovery center and museum. Interactive exhibits, related to the science and industry of our community and our natural surroundings will be spread throughout 14,000 square feet on two floors.

On the First Floor, space lovers can test their cosmic knowledge with the Space Quiz Game, step inside a life-sized Space Station, and launch rockets of their own design. Visitors can also take control of Robot Rovers on a simulated space terrain and marvel at celestial visuals with Science on a Sphere. Water enthusiasts will love exploring the properties of flow and land formation with interactive features like Water Physics, the Watershed, and the Water Cycle Sculpture. Don’t miss Burlington’s unique role in space discovery, showcased through fascinating exhibits and a natural history mural.

SECOND FLOOR

On the Second Floor, young scientists can explore the human body and motion through activities like the X-Ray imaging station, Surgery Simulator, and Reaction Time reflex test. Kids can challenge their balance, race bikes, and explore medical technology. For hands-on creativity, the STEM Play Zone invites visitors to build cars, launch balls, and experiment with circuits and air-powered devices. Highlights include the Pulley Chairs, Wind Tubes, and the Gear Wall. Toddlers have their own safe zone, while builders and tinkerers can dive into programming and making in the Make It! Classroom. Every corner of the museum inspires innovation, play, and discovery!
